It's Brunch vs. Brunch vs. Brunch. Paper magazine's brunch at the Mondrian with Shepard Fairey, the Kehinde Wiley brunch, also at the Mondrian, and the annual Art Basel brunch at the Sagamore, 9 am to 1 pm, above, which is showing off Will Ryman's giant roses, below. All by invitation only. Morgan's is where locals do brunch, but after Friday night, it's understood if you stay abed until noon.

Dec 3 Sat The MAM Ball: it's black-tie formal, it's local, it's about art, and it has a ticket price of $1,000 a PERSON. Nonetheless it sells out every year. It's a trek up to the Fontainebleau, but worth the trip. And in two years, the ball will no doubt be at the new MAM museum, now building in Museum Park and designed by Herzog & de Meuron. The Fontainebleau, 4441 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach 7 to 11 pm.
