| The Marguis, at 1100 Biscayne Boulevard, had the artist Tom Patti install "Miami Rain" on the side of the building. Not many people saw it during Basel. Let's hope it stays a while. |

Art Basel closes officially with a goodbye dinner for exhibitors at the W Southbeach. Unofficially, those who have been knocking themselves out for five days will end up late at night at local Miami spots like Nemo's, Peter Allen's, or the famous divebar known as the Deuce. In Miami proper, people will be jammed into Bardot, at 3456 N Miami Avenue, and the pop-up, cash-only Max Fish bar at 28 NE 14th Street (think PS14, but better looking). They will be celebrating. They will be drowning their sorrows. Most will be elated at what they've been through, and reluctant to think about Monday morning, when everything in Miami becomes post-Basel, and a hell of a lot less interesting. See you next year.
